Leonardo Da Vinci’s Codex of flight of the Birds changed science forever. In the discovery of flight, we will study the areas of flying, aerospace engineering, and unmanned aircraft systems. Through this course, young engineers will practice problem solving and innovation skills. We will begin with the historical perspectives of flight and how earliest flight machines evolved into modern day aircraft to space rockets. We will create and launch rockets, observe the weight of air, build an anemometer and measure wind speed.

All registrations must be submitted by  July 23, 2021. Your complete science kit will be mailed to your home address prior to class.

This class will be taught live online via Zoom. Registered students will receive login instructions. Some simple preparation or setting out the materials is required prior to each class. Estimated 15 minutes is needed.
