150 US dollars
Location 1

Service Description

In this course, students will investigate the life cycle of a bee and learn about their anatomy. We will learn how honey is made, how bees communicate, and how they help pollinate plants and flowers. Perhaps, the bee-st question is why are bees disappearing in large numbers? Students will become junior scientists and meet a professional Beekeeper from the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center to how to make small changes in our yard to help bees. We will also get a sample of honey and create a needle felt beehive. This course will leave students exploring nature around them and identify pollinating plants.
