Discovery Flight - Morning Session

Service Description

Leonardo da Vinci’s Codex of flight of the Birds changed science forever. In the discovery of flight, we will study the areas of flying, aerospace engineering, and unmanned aircraft systems. Through this course, young engineers will practice problem solving and innovation skills. We will begin with the historical perspectives of flight and how earliest flight machines evolved into modern day aircraft to space rockets. We will create and launch rockets, observe the weight of air, build an anemometer and measure wind speed. Together, we will take a virtual field trip to the Wright Brothers National Memorial.
