GRADE LEVEL: K-3 PRICE:$150 , Science Kit Included
3,2,1... Blast Off into an out of this world exploration of our Solar System. Students will learn about the sun, moon, and the stars and how our Earth is connected to the universe. In this 5 series programming, students will solidify their understanding of the characteristics of each planet and discuss why it is important for astronauts to explore other planets, like Mars.
We will learn about gravitational pull, constellations, the solar eclipse, orbit, and the phases of the moon through hands on projects and experiments. Growing Learners will also take students on a virtual field trip to the Lake Erie Nature & Science Center to see their planetarium.

FOLKTALE: JACK & the BEANSTALK
JULY 19-23 at 10:30 AM OR 2 PM
GRADE LEVEL: K-3 PRICE:$150, Science Kit Included
Ignite your child's imagination and wonder through the Jack and the Beanstalk thematic unit. Oh, yes... we can still accomplish STEAM based learning with this storybook folktale! We will grow a bean plant, document our observations, design & create a parachute egg challenge, learn about storytelling, and even make a shadow puppet theater. A special guest will be joining us to read and retell Jack & the Beanstalk. We will explore the elements and characteristics of a great storyteller. Then, we will use our imagination to retell this folktale.
DATES:

BUILDING BLOCKS STEM CHALLENGE
JULY 26-30 at 10:30 AM OR 2 PM
GRADE LEVEL: 1-5 PRICE:$150, Building Blocks Included
Does your child love to play with LEGOS? Let's take their interest to a new level by using building blocks to complete STEM challenges. These skills will boost young engineers' thinking skills through hands project based approaches. Students will make a spinning windmill, catapult, bridge, cranes, and elevators. We will learn the physical science behind these creations and how they are used in real life to improve productivity. The building blocks and challenge cards are included in this course. They are easy to snap on and off, making it easy for students to design, revise, and retest their model.

GRADE LEVEL: K-3 PRICE:$150, Science Kit Included
We will conduct a series of water related experiments. Students will learn about the power of water and how humans transfer water into renewable energy. Why does it rain? How do clouds form? Students will explore the physics, ecological, and mathematical concepts of H20. We will build a water tornado, transfer water by a thread of a string, create a water clock, and measure the amount of time the water will take to fill the water clock. This course will leave your learner curious about the science of water while creating opportunities for them to learn about engineering.
